Marcela Astorga

Marcela Astorga was born in Mendoza, Argentina in 1965.  She studied Design at the University of Buenos Aires, and later conducted independent studies in the studio of Diana Dowek.  

Marcela Astorga has had solo exhibitions internationally between South and Central America; including at Paradero Habana  (Lima, Peru), Gallery Dabbah Torrejón (Buenos Aires), Espacio de Arte y Diseño Contemporáneo (Mendoza. Argentina), Gallery KBK Arte Contemporáneo (México DF) and Centro Cultural de España, (Buenos Aires).  Selected group exhibitions which Marcela has participated in include: Las entranas del arte un relato material (S.XVII- XXI), Imago Espacio de arte (Buenos Aires); Dibujando Nada at 9.99 Proyectos (Ciudad de Guatemala); GARDEN OF DELIGHTS, Yeosu Art Festival (Zamudio. Korea); Fortunate Objects: Selección de la Colección Ella Fontanals Cisneros, CIFO. Miami. USA and An Archaeology, Colección  Zabludowicz, Project Space 176 (London).  Her work as been included in several art fairs, including ARCO: Futuribles in Madrid, curated by Gustavo Buntinx, Flac de Paris and Art Basel Miami.  In 2008 she was an invited conference member in the Segundo Simposio Internacional de Estudios Visuales en la Universidad Autonoma de Monterrey. 

Marcela Astorga lives and works in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
