Alberto Goldenstein (b. 1951 Buenos Aires) studied at the New England School of Photography in Boston from 1980 to 1983 where he studied with Joel Meyerowitz and John Szarkowsky. Upon returning to Buenos Aires, Goldenstein had his first solo show in 1991. He received a grant from the Fondo Nacional de las Artes in 1993, and from then divides his time as a artist, curator, and docent.
Select solo exhibits include Ruth Benzacar, FotoGaleria del T.G.S.M., and the Allanza Francesa de BsAs. Select group exhibits include Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, Stand Galeria Aafa, Museum of Contemporary Art, Buenos Aires, and Fundacion Proa.
His work is included in several collections, including of the Museum of Modern Art in Buenos Aires, the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, Museo Nacional Castagnino (Rosario), Museo de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires (MALBA), along with many private collection in Latin America, Germany and France.
