Gilda Mantilla
Gilda Mantilla (b. 1967 Peru) received a BFA from the School of Fine Arts of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. Selected solo exhibitions include ACIREMA, a solo project at ARCO '08, at Mirta Demare Gallery in Madrid (2008); Mal de América – Dibujos De Viajes, with Raimond Chaves, at Gallery ProjecteSD in Barcelona (2007); Dibujando América - Notas y Apuntes De Un Viaje De 100 Días Entre Caracas Y Lima, with Raimond Chaves, at the Cultural Center of Spain in Lima (2007), Patio Herreriano Museum in Valladolid, Spain (2006); and Casa de America in Madrid (2005); Sinfonía Del Trapeador at Gallery Luis Miro Quesada Garland in Lima (2001). Selected group exhibitions include Articulações, organized by Fundação de Serralves, at Antiga Fábrica da Cerveja in Faro, Portugal (2008); Alteridades – El Travestismo En Las Colecciones Del Micromuseo at Paradero Habana - Micromuseo in Lima (2008); and No Sabe / No Contesta – Prácticas Fotográficas Latinoamericanas at  ArteXArte in Buenos Aires (2008). Gilda Mantilla lives and works in Lima.
